Grocery-Anchored Shopping Centers

RMC Property Group develops new grocery-anchored shopping centers for its own account, joint ventures with partners, and third-party owners. The Company's emphasis on neighborhood shopping centers focuses on the anchor tenant Publix Super Markets, Inc., the premier grocer in the southeastern United States. In addition to owning and developing a number of Publix-anchored shopping centers in a proprietary role, the Company is one of Publix Super Markets, Inc.'s largest fee developers of the grocer's owned portfolio throughout Florida and Georgia.

Redevelopment / Renovation

RMC Property Group has expertise in redeveloping and renovating shopping centers. The Company has had a tremendous amount of experience in attracting new anchor tenants and rebuilding existing anchor tenants in the same shopping center. This experience, combined with the Company's knowledge and experience with shopping center remodels, shopping center redesigns, and structural modifications, have resulted in substantial property value creation. RMC Property Group has redeveloped over 20 of its centers with new grocery stores and has performed the same function for a number of third-party owners, including Publix Super Markets, Inc.

Walgreens New Store Development

Development of freestanding Walgreens drugstores continues to be a significant part of RMC Property Group's business. From identifying new sites and/or replacements of existing in-line locations to entitling land and overseeing construction, the Company has directed the development of more than 100 freestanding Walgreens drugstores and continues to be the leading developer of Walgreens drugstores in Florida.

Mixed-Use Developments

To meet the changing needs of the retail industry, the Company is active in the development of mixed-use communities throughout Florida. Several mixed-use developments initiated by RMC are grocery-anchored by Publix, providing residents and visitors with unique on-site conveniences. The synergy between the retail, office/industrial, and residential components, make these developments a welcomed addition to several urban environments.

Other Projects

RMC Property Group actively pursues development consistent with its retail / commercial expertise (e.g., freestanding fast food restaurants, gas station, and other outparcel-type developments). However, when interesting opportunities outside of retail/commercial present themselves, RMC Property Group and its experienced professional team make the vision a reality. Such opportunities have included speculative land acquisitions and self-storage facility development.
